  4. If you went to Longwood gardens and Coastal Maine botanical gardens you could not possibly rank the Maine gardens above Longwood. It is not even close. Please, anyone who has been to both, set the record straight.

    • I agree with you. Just visited both gardens within several days of each other. Longwood had so much more to offer than Maine Coastal. I think it gets it’s ranking for being the only garden on the ocean. Very disappointed withe lack of colorful annuals at Maine.

  5. Greenhouses can also be built using landscape gardening and they can be incorporated inside of the garden collectively with
a chilly-body. Ornamental grasses and native wildflowers provide refuge to
wildlife and add maintenance-free vegetation to your outdoor space.

When climbing up trees, surgeons are hunting for a handful of things like, dead wood, splits, and cracked limbs, that will most
definitely split under large snow or wind.

  6. I do not get how Coastal Maine Botanical Garden could possibly rank above Longwood Gardens. I suspected the ballot box was being stuffed, then today came the story on Fox News about fake reviews. I think there are some here. Granted it may look nice in the Spring with tulips ( I read) but on Sept 24th the place looked dried up and dead. No annuals of any kind. Roses looked sick. There are thousands of roses at Longwood in various beds and a greenhouse and atrium. How could this possibly compare to Longwood????

  7. I was pleasantly surprised this week when Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond, VA was named the second best public garden in the US. Being a native Richmonder, it was a great honor to have this recognition.

However, I agree with the previous posts, its hard to believe that Longwood Gardens came in second to the Coastal Maine Gardens. Longwood came in #1 on the list for best public garden in the US.
