We launched the TripAdvisor GreenLeaders program one year ago today and since then it’s become the largest green hotel program in the world with over 4,000 participating properties. There are so many options for travelers seeking out eco-friendly accommodations now. And according to our recently eco-travel survey, 23% of travelers have consciously made an eco-friendly travel choice in the past year. Plus, 85% said doing so made them feel more positive about their trip.


So to celebrate this one-year milestone and the idea that green travel can make for more enjoyable travel experiences, we’ve rounded up the 10 highest-rated green hotels in the U.S., based on both popularity with travelers and achieving peak “Platinum” status in the TripAdvisor GreenLeaders program.
