As your most flight-savvy friends may have already told you, not every airplane seat is created equal. These same friends also probably know about SeatGuru, the ultimate source of air travel advice, which just launched a new and improved iPhone app.
SeatGuru is best known for its color-coded aircraft seat maps, and following a re-design of their desktop website last month, the new seatmap iconography found on SeatGuru’s 700+ hi-res seat maps makes touchscreen navigation a delight. With over 45,000 flyer comments and seat reviews, the new design makes it easier to extract the most important information on seat and aircraft amenities.
Version 2.0 also introduces photo capabilities to better inform travelers of aircraft seat and cabin appearance. iPhone users can now view flyer photos or upload their own photos and comments on the go, to help ensure there are no surprises when arriving at one’s seat. In addition, the app’s new Facebook login feature ensures that your contributions stay organized in the “My Stuff” section.
SeatGuru is available as a free download for the iPhone/iPod Touch in the Apple App Store and is powered by TripAdvisor.
